Residency/recruitment coordinator for Saint Louis University (Southwest Illinois) Family Medicine Residency in O'Fallon, Illinois. This is a joint civilian/military residency program in a single-residency setting, partnered with Saint Louis University, Scott Air Force Base, HSHS St. Elizabeth's, and SIHF Healthcare.
Although I am originally from California, I moved to this area about 9 years ago and have made it a goal to explore new areas around St. Louis (food, locations, and events). I graduated with my summa cum laude from the Pierre Laclede Honors College at the University of Missouri - St. Louis on a full-tuition scholarship, with a major in psychology (organizational) and a minor in philosophy. During my time here, I worked as a research assistant at an alcohol perceptions lab under the supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Noel with the Missouri Institute of Mental Health. I also took honors courses (with my favorite class being honors metaepistemology due to the challenge of self-reflection), and worked at a warehouse managing large-scale orders to meet shipping, packaging, and labeling requirements set by receiving departments.
My favorite thing about my current job has been helping recent medical school graduates follow their dreams and reach their goals. Their passion for family medicine and the hardships they have overcome to be where they are today is inspiring. I am glad to be a pivotal part of their journey.
