Announcements

  • Upcoming Webinars, and new PDWS Updates

    Dear Program Contact,

As we shared earlier this year, there will be several updates coming to the ERAS® application for the 2024 residency recruitment season.

    ERAS Application Q&A Webinar

To help you learn more about these improvements, the ERAS team will host a live Q&A webinar to take your questions about the system on May 4 at 2 p.m. ET. This 45-minute event will give you and your colleagues the chance to ask questions and as you prepare for the 2024 ERAS season. We suggest reviewing the new webpages before attending the webinar.

We are developing more resources for the coming season, including several educational videos that will include demonstrations of the new ERAS features. They will be linked to the MyERAS Application and Program Signaling for 2023-24 webpage. AAMC and OPDA Webinar

The AAMC and the Organization of Program Director Associations (OPDA) are hosting a live webinar on April 11 at 7 p.m. ET. The one-hour presentation, “A Preliminary Research Review and Program Reactions to Program Signaling,” will explore research outcomes from the implementation of program signals. Guest speakers will share what they’ve learned; whether the research findings support established hypotheses; what role (if any) program signals played in their selection process; and whether plans are underway in their specialty to revise their approach to program signals.

    New PDWS Features

If you have logged into the Program Director’s WorkStation (PDWS) recently you might have also noticed some new features that we launched earlier this month. After gathering input from you and your colleagues, we have made improvements that add a clean look and feel and put more useful information at your fingertips.

When you log in to the dashboard you will notice:

    • A left navigation bar with quick links to tools and resources.
    • An activity statistics section that allows you to see the number and status of applications.
    • Application activity.
    • Interview Progress.
    • Events.
    • Screened Data.

We continue to make updates that improve your PDWS user experience and welcome your feedback and suggestions through ERAS Client Technical Support
