Responsibilities
As an Associate Program Director, you will play a vital role in resident education, curricular strength, scholarly activity, and selected administrative tasks of our Internal Medicine Residency Program. Your primary role will be enhancing the educational curriculum of the IM residents, while at the same time ensuring they have the appropriate clinical exposure per ACGME guidelines. Your contributions will directly impact the education of residents, institutional growth, academic development, and advancement of our faculty members. There is ample opportunity for scholarly work and clinical research via the resources of the CMU School of Medicine. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of dedicated educators and shape the future of medical education. You will follow the guidelines set forth by the ACGME Internal Medicine program requirements, while closely working with the Program Director and other faculty within the residency program.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must hold current board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine and be eligible for an unrestricted Michigan medical license. Academic experience consistent with ACGME requirements is required. We welcome specialists from various fields, including Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and others. A faculty appointment at the College of Medicine will be commensurate with your academic accomplishments.
